The Wedding Picture
She glances down at the ring on her finger
Memories of him continue you to linger
Was he a dream in her mind
Or was he a pleasure she did find
The pictures of them scattered around her
Memories they do stir
Both painful and sweet
She spies a picture of the night they did meet
He looks so handsome to her
Through the tears the memories blur
The wedding picture jumps to her sight
Her gown so lacey and white
How young they both looked
that innocent time never overlooked
She knows in her heart
They had drifted apart
In such a short time
He was stolen from her in his prime
She is much too young to be alone
And she shouldn't have had to pick a stone
The glimmer in her eye has died
As if she was buried by his side
Her hands grasp the wedding picture
Just as he did when his heart did fracture
She holds it to her chest like him when he had his attack
The tears flow from her wanting him to come back
