Portrayed to Her
With work worn hands
His life he commands
With a touch like satin
His love with her is fastened
He is coarse and crude
And sometimes lewd
But when she is near
His true self is clear
From everyone else his kindness is hid
His inner self thought morbid
Often mistaken as mean
His heart went unseen
She has shown him such kindness
For his faults she has a blindness
Her straight forward ways
And her loving gaze
She must make him see
He is everything she wants him to be
She sees beyond his outer walls
To her heart he always calls
Only to her is his heart displayed
To others this still isn't portrayed
