Sir

            I herewith enclose the Declar-

ation of Elizabeth Mursh, widow of

Robert Mursh, claiming Pension under

the Act of Congrys of 7^th July 1838 accompanied

with an explanation of her peculiar marriage

which marriage was and must be valued for

it was the law by custom among these people

for they are of the Indian Tribe.  Robert Mursh tho

an Indian was a man of great repute.  Elizabeth

Marsh his wife is highly spoken of
