Hi Everyone,

Well here’s an update on what’s been going on lately. Just to recap on the web page, it has changed a little. We are now a “NO banner” web site. I don’t know about you, but something about banners, and pop ups just bother me.

Membership is coming along, kind of slow, but getting there. We are always going to be accepting applications for membership, but I think that the early ones that join the club will be the ones that will make it a success. Check out the web site www.corvetteclubofsanfrancisco.com , get your membership form and mail it in today!

There has been a lot of progress made in these past weeks. We are currently in discussions with a local automobile dealership, as a possible sponsor for our gala events, and have had commitments from other businesses in the San Francisco area for sponsorship and advertising, which we will be listing, when our newsletter becomes hardcopy; hopefully, within the next couple of months.

I would, also like to let you all know that the club apparel will be arriving next week. We have lots of stuff, and I am very excited about it. WHEW that’s one thing down, and a ga-zillion more to go, but we are getting there.

Also to let you know, the Yahoo chat club is really taking off. There is quiet a variety of people there, from all over, and we would love to have you join us. It is free to join; all you need is a Yahoo ID and password, now how hard can it be to do that?

To be honest with you, I never really realized how hard it would be to pull this off, but on a happy note I really think things are coming together. We are planning to have an event sometime in the Summer of 2002, this to be determined as to when and where. Just a little hint, we have a really spectacular place in mind. I think it will be a great success. There will be plenty of advanced notice for this, so please keep checking the Events page on the web site.

In 1960, Corvette production topped the 10,000 mark for the first time. It was now carving out a solid niche in the market and becoming a part of American culture.

In each year between 1960 and 1962, performance and styling enhancements made it more and more appealing to a wide variety of buyers. 1961 was the first year for Corvette trademark quad taillights.
