Cooking lesson at a Florence private home with fresh market tour The cooking class meets in a lovely apartment in a historic palace overlooking the center of Florence The kitchen is large, well lighted and fully equipped. Our
cooking courses offers a complete panorama of traditional tuscan
cooking to beginners and upwards. Under the supervision of Chef Jacopo Tendi
and his assistant Anna Bigi the partecipants can put the cooking
theories they will learn into practice as they prepare themselves the
typical tuscan dishes on the days menu.
The
courses are limited to 8 students per course, which assures complete
involvement of each student, and are held in English or French as well as
Italian. The
lessons begin at 9.30 a.m. and last through lunchtime when the morning
food preparations can be tasted; or in the afternoon, at 4 pm.
All locally purchased products are guaranteed to be the freshest possible
and a guided tour of the local fresh food market, Sant'Ambrogio,
may be included in the course upon request.In this case we need to start
at 8.30 a.m.

to live an hands-on cooking
experience in a familiar and relaxing atmosphere.
You will flavour the fragrance of fresh herbs and vegetables just picked from the garden. You will taste wine, extravirgin olive oil, bread, cheese, honey from the local farms. Italian cooking is born in family. Food is big part of italian family rithuals, culture, traditions; it’s the daily taking care of life, relatives and friends.
The house is an old country house located in a pretty small village, Trecento, in Chianti area. During good season you can taste in the garden the food preparations, sharing the view on the beautiful land over San Gimignano. In winter there is an old fireplace, where the old kitchen was and where we spend winter evening. From Trecento you can easily reach, following pretty narrow roads through Tuscan landscape, some really beautiful middle age villages like San Gimignano, Certaldo, Lucardo, San Casciano, castles and churches. |

If you are spending your holiday in a tuscan farm and you would like to take one or more cooking classes, we are able to organize the class at your staying. We are also available to organise a real tuscan dinner-party, coming to cook at your staying. All we need is a normally equipped kitchen. |
