The
allure of Norwegian Forest Cats
Corros
Cattery is a mother-daughter enterprise, begun in March 2000, born
out of a lifelong love for cats. When deciding to start breeding
cats, we faced the decision of which breed. After careful deliberation
we chose this breed because of their lovable mischievous natures,
robust statures, and beautiful coats. They are very agile and acrobatic,
and any stray mice or rats will definitely come off second best!
These hunting instincts can be conveniently harnessed with a lure,
and make for happy pastimes for cat and owner.
NFC's are relatively uncommon in RSA and we have decided to promote
the breed locally and enhance the gene pool. To which end we imported
two cats from Denmark in June 2000 and two more in December 2001.
Our first litter of kittens from the tom Grizzley Bear were born
in January 2001.
We also work in close association with The Ratatosk Cattery of Rondebosch
East, Cape Town.
Our cats live in our home and in the beautiful Cattery we have built
in our garden with their own enclosed mini-garden, climbing ramps,
and cages, for the times when they need to be enclosed. They also
enjoy our large garden with its many trees, under supervision!
