Welcome to the Office of Cowhorses Unlimited!
Here we will review the dos and donts of the stable. Please read through
them carefully whether your breeding or buying a horse from CU!
Cowhorses Unlimited Breeding Contract:
Cowhorses Unlimited is a full scale breeding facility with a state of the
art laboratory, up to date breeding shed with all the required tools. We
are able to evaluate both stallions and mares on whether their breeding
worthy or not. We can evaluate stallions semen, ship it, store it, whatever
the situation calls for. We also perform Embryo Transfer, AI, and other
types of breeding used throughout the stock horse world.
Our stallions are carefully evaluated before performing their duties for
breeding. We require all mares to be evaluated by our resident vet before
she is bred to one of our stallions.
All stallions residing at Cowhorses Unlimited are open for public breeding
unless otherwise specified. Stud fees and breeding requirements are listed
on their personal pages. Please make sure to go through them before
selecting a stallion to breed your mare to. Most of our stallions are open
to many breeds of mares, but some may be limited to AQHA or AQHA & APHA mares only.
Our stallions are proven performers in Reining, Cutting, Working Cow Horse,
Calf Roping and similar classes. Stud fees may increase depending on show
record, LTE's, foal sales, foal earnings, etc. We also offer a multiple
mare discount on all of our stallions! We strongly encourage mare owners to
have a show record on their mares before breeding, but it is not required.
What is required is a working page URL with full stats, sire and dam, show
record (if any) and foal record (if any). That way we can link your mares
page to her foal.
So when your ready to breed, simply e-mail us with "Breeding" in the
subject line. Then in the main part of the e-mail, please include:
We don't charge a chute fee or other fees, just send a check for the
breeding. If you have multiple mares you wish to breed; even mares to
different stallions, we'll discount you!!
Foals sired by our stallions must have the initials CU in front of their
names. That way we can tell which are our homebred foals when they start
their show careers. They must also have a working page URL up within a week
to two weeks after the time of breeding. Foals can be aged every RL year,
or by number of shows, or every 6 months. Please specify how you plan on
aging your foal.
Cowhorses Unlimited reserves buyback rights on ALL foals produced by any of
our stallions or mares! If you can't take care of the foal any longer and
would like to sell it, please let us know in advance!! This is very crucial!
PLEASE NOTE: Our stallions are also available for breeding at SAI
Farm Board under the All-Sim Stud Book!!!
Cowhorses Unlimited Sales Contract:
On occasion, Cowhorses Unlimited will offer some of our finely bred horses
for sale. Whether they be youngsters, Junior, Senior, or Breeding Stock. We
will even offer half price or free breedings to our premier stallions.
Please be sure to check out the CF Sales Arena for available horses. We may
also offer horses at the RCHA, WF Show Grounds or SAI Farm Board.
Show Records may be included with some horses; unless their young stock or
Breeding Stock who got their show careers cut short due to an injury.
Horses will have complete stats along with a page URL, picture, full stats,
S/D, training, any points or LTE's, and their show record may be listed on
the sale ad; or their personal page, along with comments and a Sale Price.
When you are interested in a horse we are offering for sale, please post
your request below the sales post with:
Once the sale has been finalized, an active page must be available within
at least a week! If your having trouble with RL, please let me know,
otherwise I will reclaim the horse or horses.
Cowhorses Unlimited reserves buybacks on ALL horses sold under our name.
Whether their homebreds or not, if we sold them, we have buybacks.
