~ Ski Camp~

Ski Camp - January 2000 - Rumford, ME (?)

This was one of the infamous ski camps. Three quarters of the ~22 people came down with the "plague" and "screamers" and the temperature took a week to break 0 F during the day. Nevertheless, we had a great time at Jesse's '01 old house.

Scott '01 laughs at Karla '02 after she takes a fall in battle royale. Karla seemed to be a common target in our favorite ski team game that winter.

Ski Camp - January 2001 - Tamworth, NH

After skiing for what seemed to be almost a thousand kilometers at the Jackson XC Ski Center, everyone was a little tired each evening after dinner.

Mara felt particularly tired this evening. Clearly everyone else must have slacked off that day.

Ski Camp - January 2002 - Tug Hill Plateau, NY

Each season, Karla '02 always seemed to be preoccupied with seeing or getting in touch with the "other" Tom at Dartmouth. While there was no phone available in the cabins at ski camp this year, there was a phone available up at the main lodge. Each evening Karla would disappear for what seemed like hours to make the trek or drive up to the lodge.

One evening Karla must have been in a particular rush. Instead of taking the time to turn her car around next to the cabin, she thought she could make it down the long driveway just in reverse. Realizing she was traveling quite slowly at first, she gave it a little gas, then a little more... before she knew it, she wasn't quite straight on the road and started to catch the snowbank on the side. In a fraction of a second, her driver side rear "caught" and she spun around and up onto the bank. What you see here took nearly the entire ski team twenty minutes to undo.
