What is it that inspires you to dance?
Is it hearing that one perfect song?
Is it the feeling of freedom when you move your body?
Or is it the camaraderie of people enjoying the same thing as you?
For "Salsa, Con Todo," we'd like to say it's a combination of all these things and so much more. Salsa con Todo not only will we teach you the fundamentals of Salsa, we will also delve into Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, and Guaguanco. Vassili is a full-time musician, singing and playing guitar for world music ensemble "Children of the Revolution" (visit www.cotrmusic.com). He studied Latin music for years and has a deep love and respect for the origins and traditions of this music. As a result, our school focuses heavily on musicality. We feel that as a dancer, you must be "a member of the band." Helping to tell a story with each song, each dance. Our goal is to foster a well-rounded dancer that can combine any and all of these styles of dance, and help you create that inner Salsero.

Occupation: Barista/Dancer
Dance Background: I began dancing Ballet when I was four. From there I took
on various dance forms such as Modern, Jazz, and even Country Line Dancing. I had my first taste of Salsa a few years ago at a Dominican Thanksgiving in Long Island, NY. But it wasn’t until two years ago that I really became serious about it. I would like to say that I’m completely committed to Salsa. However, Thanks to Z, I now have a love affair with Argentine Tango. Shhh… don’t tell Salsa ; )
Teaching Goals: I’ve always said there’s never one way to do anything…
especially when dancing. So my goal is to show many variations of turn patterns, footwork, and body movement so that my students can learn what works best for them. Most importantly, I want my students to love to dance!
Interests: Dancing, Music from all over the world, singing, and
I love to knit!

Occupation: UW Undergrad.
Dance Background: I began with dancing ballet and jazz for years, later discovering Flamenco. More recently I developed a passion for Argentine Tango. As Tango began to consume my life I found myself stretching to Salsa for some balance. I’m now completely hooked on both, studying and teaching each very different and beautiful dance form. Ask me about Tango ;)
Teaching Goals: I enjoy trying to bring different styles and cultural dance forms together. My main goal is for my students to become comfortable enough with their own bodies and movement to be able to find their own unique style and bring it to the floor.
Interests: Kiteboarding, travel, sustainable development, SCUBA,
chocolate & tea (not necessarily in that order).
