A TV deflector site on the Comeragh Mts
Taken in September 2000 these are pictures of a (one of the two) TV deflector site on the Comeragh Mts in Co.Waterford, this one at Coumahon serving Mid Co.Waterford. For receiving the 4 UK TV Channels a reflector made of chicken wire, reflecting onto the 2 'Colourking' aerials is a large receive array to ensure perfect reception (from Presely in Wales) even in the middle of winter. The two 'panel' antennas on the pole above the equipment hut are the transmit antennas. This site according to a map is 379m A.S.L. and above a place called 'Mahon Bridge'
