What is life? Is it good, bad, both? What is living? Is simply being alive living?
There are some people in this world who, if someone close to them is dying, they hold them back from living. They can't protect them from death, so they protect them from life. They have them rest all the time and do nothing. Of course, then this person feels useless and like his life is pointless. Life is nothing if you can't make a difference.

Because someone has the possibility that they might die should make you alow them to do more, not less. No one is content to simply be alive, no matter how long. We all want to actually live. If you are trying to keep someone alive by holding them back from living, then you are defeating your whole purpose.
