GloFish are Zebra Danios (Danio rerio) genetically altered to be bright red, orange and green respectively. They are exclusively produced by Segrest Farms, Inc and 5-D Tropical, Inc. The GloFish are trademarked and owned by Yorktown Technologies, who I have no affiliation with of any kind. My only association is that I have purchased and care for the fish they created. The contents of this page have little to no scientific basis other then what I have found while caring for my pets. I am not authorized to sell or distribute these fish, nor am I trying to do so.
