My Biography
I have been teaching in Guam’s public school for the past eighteen years in Science. I am currently teaching Chemistry and Physics Honors as well as Chemistry and Physics. I have bright, innovative students and I am confident this year they will launch their two –staged rockets without breaking the egg inside! Besides being a Science teacher, I am also the Science Department Chairperson, one of the coaches for the Academic Challenge Bowl for Southern High School.
My educational background
includes a Bachelor of Arts in Education in secondary education with an emphasis
on Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I have taken graduate classes in Marine
Biology and Administration and Supervision. I will be obtaining my Master in
Curriculum and Technology from the University of Phoenix in March. I believe in
embracing change and I hope to use what I have learned in from the University of
Phoenix to help teachers to be comfortable working with computers by helping to
incorporate technology into their classroom through Power Point Presentations,
Internet, Movie Maker, EXCEL, grading online and video conferencing technology,
and creating websites. My goal next year to offer distance-learning classes for
Honor Physics or Advanced Placement Biology via video conference in our school
district and students from our neighboring islands such as the Commonwealth of
Marianas and the Federated States of Micronesia.
