Margo's smug smile suddenly fades. She appears tense.
MARGO
You work for Taylor Underwood?
DAMON
Presently, but not for much longer. His company is on the verge of bankruptcy, and his checks have been rejected all over the city.
(pause)
Even if he had intended to invest with you, he wouldn't be able to pay. He's been riding his reputation for months to gain upscale comforts from businesses such as yours. Corporate dinner parties, business dinners, free drinks--and late night dates with ambitious business women.
MARGO
stunned)
That's not true. It can't be--
DAMON
Why? Because he used you the way he intended to use Harley--the way you used Harley? Trust me, it's true. But at least some good came out of this. It showed Harley your true colors--and she's better off without you.
(pause)
But don't worry yourself about Harley's future. With the media attention from this ordeal and her new hero status--along with mine, she'll have no trouble securing her dream job.
Margo stares at Damon with shock and alarm. She appears to realize it's the truth. She looks back to Harley and attempts a sweet smile.
MARGO
Perhaps I'd overreacted. Would you reconsider returning to work for me? You can have as much time off as you need.
HARLEY
No, thank you. I think I'll let you explain to the board why I no longer work for the company.
Damon smiles, approaches the door, and opens it for Margo.
DAMON
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're expecting room service before continuing our next eight hour long nap until dinner time.
Margo is about to protest, reconsiders, frowns, and leaves. Damon shuts the door behind her, locks it, then turns to Harley with a humored smile.
DAMON
I loved the way you handled her. So--dominating.
Harley chuckles softly, turns away from him, and recovers her towel. Damon approaches her from behind, slips his arms around her waist, and holds her against him.
DAMON
Im just glad youre on my side.
