Koon leans against the bookcase and watches as Reggie makes a copy of the contract on the copying machine. She returns his original then folds the copy and places it in her pocket. She turns to Koon and offers a pleased smile.
REGGIE
Now we can go.
KOON
You have got to be the most controlling, manipulative female I've ever come across.
REGGIE
(pleased smile)
Thank you.
Koon rolls his eyes then waves his hand. They both vanish.
EXT. KOON'S WORLD -- EVENING
We see the tropical island like setting with bizarre terrain. Parts of the island appear rocky, parts appear deserted, and still other parts resemble a jungle. The island represents something from another world. Just along the beach like setting, we see an amazing, Dr. Seuss like castle. Koon and Reggie appear on the sandy beach. Reggie looks around several minutes and appears surprised.
REGGIE
Where are we?
KOON
We're in my world.
(pleased)
Beautiful, isn't it?
REGGIE
I rather doubt I'll have the opportunity to appreciate it.
Koon chuckles lowly.
KOON
I love your sense of humor.
(pause)
In accordance with the details of the contract, your task is to find the dagger or Zagaball
and return it to me.
Koon points to Reggie's wrist. An elegant digital watch appears on her wrist.
KOON
You have three hours to find the dagger and return it to its rightful place in the library.
(pause)
Just to be fair, I've provided you with a map.
A detailed map on old leather appears in her hands. Koon smiles pleasantly.
KOON
Happy hunting.
Koon suddenly vanishes. Reggie looks at the map then heads along the beach.
REGGIE
(mutters)
Map my ass. Detailed description of where not to go.
EXT. JUNGLE -- EVENING
Reggie hurries along the path within the jungle and looks around cautiously.
REGGIE
(mutters)
Too easy so far.
Reggie pauses and looks at the map.
REGGIE
According to the map, the dagger is just down this path within the ruins of the old temple.
Reggie looks around a moment then eyes the path behind her and to the left.
REGGIE
The map says to go straight, so that must mean I should go left.
Reggie heads for the path to the left and hurries along it.
EXT. TEMPLE RUINS -- EVENING
We see the ruins of the old temple covered in vegetation. Reggie appears just behind the temple built partially into the ground. She pauses on one of the stones, crouches down, and looks toward the path below. Everything appears quiet. Reggie watches a few moments longer. We see apelike creatures moving about. The big, burly creatures appear to be hiding within the thick jungle before the temple and watch the path leading up to it. Reggie smirks.
