Blade of the Immortal Manji & Rin
Date Finished: 2.17.03
Teehee.... I liked this piece. The picture came from Blade of the Immortal Vol.4 On Silent Wings. I like
how I drew Manji a lot; not too happy with his feet or the background though... *sigh*... I don't like the way
I drew Rin's face either... The overall shadows are pretty good though... ^_^
Card Captors Sakura Sakura Flies!
Date Finished: 8.26.01
I actually wrote a comment on the back of this.... strange... The picture came from some Hong Kong
trading card my teacher brought back from... well ... Hong Kong... Well... let's see... I like this one too,
sort of... Her sealing wand is too big, her face is too long, her eyes are too small, and the picture on the
back of her card is AWFUL! What I DO like is the background (it looks better on the original...) and the way I
colored her hair. I tried to mimic the technique I used on another Card Captors Sakura drawing but guess what?
It didn't work. That's why it's not posted up here (and plus... I didn't finish it... maybe I will someday...)
Dragon Ball GT Christmas Goku
Date Finished: 12.02
HA... can you tell where I got the idea for this? It's from that Dragon Ball GT episode where Goku was looking at
the die. Hehehe.... do you see it? I gave Goku a Santa hat, made the die a Christmas present, and gave him Ryu-ish
clothes and *poof*! You get Christmas Goku. Also, this is the editted version. The background and the text is
different from the original, which I gave to someone. The background was done using Adobe Photoshop, with the
gradient tool (I know that seems VERY primitive compared to you Photoshop techies out there... I'm still
learning...) I should've probably put this piece in the Gifts section... but I didn't. I don't know why...
Digimon: Digital Monsters Meow! Gatomon!
Date Finished: 3.3.01
GATOMON!! I used to be obsessed with Gatomon... how can you not be? Well... my art teacher asked us to
draw a toy, so I drew my Gatomon figurine (it blinks...teehee)... I like the whole thing.... except for the tail.
I don't like the tail. It looks like it got glued onto her head... well... on the figurine... it IS stuck to her
head... but anyway... I don't like the tail...
Final Fantasy VIII Squall & Rinoa
Date Finished: 8.6.01
I like this one... The picture came from the picture of the two at the back of the manual. This was actually
drawn on the back of some computer paper... so I can't say I like the coloring too much... But I DO like
Squall's hair... teehee... Squall rules... Rinoa needs to be closer to Squall and her head should be tilted more.
Oh yeah... you might be wondering why the background is so.... bright.... unlike the actual picture... well... I
was too chicken to color everything so dark at the back... I have a similar picture with Tidus and Yuna from
Final Fantasy X (the one with them in the water... yeah... that's the one...) and I didn't even color it...
Partially because I didn't like it... and partially because I was too chicken... grrr...
Final Fantasy VII Chibi-Cloud Sketch
Date Finished: 9.21.02
CLOUD!!! WOOHOO!! Hehehe.... you won't find the origins of this picture anywhere... because I made it up
myself!! Teehee... isn't he sooo cute as a chibi...?? He probably wouldn't be smiling... but hey.... who cares?
They actually DO have chibi pictures of all the characters. I found a picture of them online before... only I
don't know where it is anymore... Just so you know... in the background is a super messed up moggy and chocobo...
Hehehe.... he just looks super funny in there... to me anyways....
Final Fantasy VII Chibi-Yuffie Sketch
Date Finished: 2002
I swear... these quickie chibis took me about 5 minutes to draw... yet I love them...teehee.... I gotta draw more
of them... where did I get the idea to draw balloon head chibis with puny bodies you ask? Well, I saw a girl in
my art class draw them for her year book (only hers had Shakespeare and football players and stuff), so I decided
to try them out. Aren't they just sooo adorable?? The Chinese word on Yuffie's head is 'wind'. I think I should've
wrote 'dork', but whatever. I think Yuffie's my favorite FF7 character... cuz I like her stupidity... ^_^
Cowboy Bebop Radical Ed!!
Date Finished: 4.27.03
ED!!! YES!! We ALL love Ed!! We have to! How can we not love her? Well, I actually did this piece in like a day. It was fun drawing her. I definitely had trouble getting her clothes right. This picture is actually smaller than the original that I drew. I cut off somer parts of it and I added the crazy insany smiley that Ed is sooo famous for! A quote from her says "Hello virus---". What's so ironic is that my old computer has a virus. Strange... Well anyway, I'm quite satisfied with this picture.
Devil May Cry Chibi-Dante
Date Finished: 2002
Hehehe... I love this pic... *smiles* I was bored one day in Spanish class with the teacher that we oh so love... (major sarcasm in case you didn't get my drift...) and I drew this little pic of Dante. Isn't he a cute one? I drew it with pen first and then colored some parts of him with markers (no... not Copic... I'd be poor after buying one of those... but Crayola. Yes Crayola.) I was obsessed with Devil May Cry back then. Not the second one. The first one. Enough said.
Devil May Cry Chibi-Dante : Wanna Start Something?
Date Finished: 5.18.03
Yeah... I love this pic too... it's quite unfortunate I can't keep the original... that's because I'm selling it to Jeffy for $2!! Cool huh?! Quick cash... ^_^ Anyways... I'm proud of this one... it took a very long time for me to think up a cool pose... well cool enough for Dante that is... and Dante just rules... but anyways, originally, I had his sword (Alastar was it??) in front of him, but that turned out quite weird, if you know what I mean, so Jeffy made me move it to the back, which cut down the sword's coolness level... but I like the way I drew Dante's hand that's holding the pointing gun. I've never really drawn stuff like that before and this gives me confidence to do it more often ^_^. I like it... The background is kinda... well... okay... considering I spend like 5 seconds on it... but anyways, overall, I like it!
Cowboy Bebop HaPpY!!
Date Finished: 6.14.03
You cannot look at that and NOT smile. Come on... lemme see those pearly whites!! ^_^
Kingdom Hearts Cloud Strife B&W
Date Finished: 7.5.03
Teehee... I actually like this drawing... It's black and white right now, but I'll color it sooner or later to give to my friend's birthday in September. I'll be posting that too. Yeah... Cloud has adopted Vincent's clothes style... but that's cool. I actually haven't finished playing this, so I don't know what's up with the wing... only I know that Sephiroth has one on the other side. Anyways... I'm not too good with poses... so this was the best I could come up with for now... the bandages on the sword too FOREVER and I had to use the poster of Cloud and the gang on my wall as reference. Hmm... the details aren't really accurate... because... well... I looked at a small little picture of him... then I later found out that I had a bigger pic of him in the KH issue of OPM... Grrr... struggle... Anyways... I'm into black and white stuff lately, so it's all cool.
Computer Art
RPGNation Magazine
Date Finished: 2003
Eh... this piece was stupid... I didn't like it...
Rachel Box Dream
Date Finished: 2003
Hehehe... a rachel box... My computer art teacher at the high school told us to do one... consists of several
layers of stuff... I like the word 'dream' on the top of the 'glass'. I used the pen tool for that... love that
tool... What do you make of this piece? Interpret it, because I'm not telling :X teehee...
Surrealism If Cats Ruled the World...
Date Finished: 2003
This piece was fun... well sort of... It was all about copying and pasting cats onto the canvas, changing their
sizes, and their brightness so that it fitted into the picture. The sky is fake. I did it with the 'Clouds' filter
in Adobe. Maybe I should've used a picture of clouds... hm... maybe...
The Cube Movie Poster
Date Finished: 6.12.03
OoOoOo... movie... Cube... this was another Computer Art class assignment. My teacher told us to do a movie poster for a movie called Cube. The background of the earth and the sun I got online. Pretty good pic. I added a lens flare to the sun to create some crazy effect. Then, I made a cube using Amorphium, the crazy 3-D program we use, added some cheesy sayings, added a metallic title, chose some actors (Mark Wahlberg... ^_^) and there ya go! This one actually came out pretty good.
Gifts
Alex's 0th Birthday They Myths are True!
Date Finished: 12.02
Happy Birthday Alex! Alex is my little cousin, just born... teehee... I wanted to draw this picture for awhile
now. It was one of those crazy random cards my art teacher has. My opportunity came when my baby cousin was born.
I like the background and the stork the best. I gave this piece to my uncle, all framed and stuff... teehee...
he must feel special.
Merry Christmas to Everyone!
Date Finished: 12.6.02
I liked this one... my whole family said it was good... that is definitely a compliment... since my art rarely
impresses any of them... teehee... of course... some people that I sent this to thought that his beard was
real... IT'S NOT REAL!! Geez... I like the penguin best... *smiles* The snow on the trees are actually acrylic
paint and so is part of the snow on the ground. Cool eh...?
John's 16th Birthday Super Monkey!
Date Finished: 2.15.03
This was a late birthday present for my pal John. It looks sooo bad... the words on the snowboard says 'Jumping
Monkey'. The monkey looks sorta like a bear though... I got the face from some Chinese calendar thing. The
background totally stinkos... I copied the scarf from my brother's scarf... I LOVE GOGGLES for some strange
reason...
Shannon's 16th Birthday We Love Care Bears!
Date Finished: 2.15.03
No, it's no coincidence I did these on February 15th... wasn't that a snowday or something? I don't remember...
Oh well... Yes... the whole Care Bear thing is from my art teacher's crazy collection of cards and
stickers. I did this knowing that my pal Shannon likes Care Bears. I didn't know which one she liked, so I just
drew some random one. Hehehe... heart in the rear...^_^
Jessie's 13th Birthday Aoshi & Misao
Date Finished: 2.17.03
Hahahaha... this piece is SOOO awful... Yeah, I tried copying various manga drawings from my Rurouni Kenshin manga.
I looked through all 28 books to find a picture of Aoshi and Misao... still it looks terrible... I don't
think Jessie minds though... I'll keep her comments on it to myself... Good ol' Sharpie markers and micron pens...
Su's 18th Birthday Flying High
Date Finished: 3.21.03
Yes... I finished this ON HER BIRTHDAY... the date proves it... It didn't show much of my skills (if I have any)
in coloring... Most of the colors were monotone, no special mixing of colors... call me too lazy if you will...
I actually like this piece. I didn't really know what to draw her though... so I don't know... Bijou looks funny...
No Nathan... the balloons AREN'T LUMPY!! It's just a figment of your imagination!!!
Sally's 16th Birthday Spread Your Wings
Date Finished: 4.19.03
Hm... this is a late birthday present as well... actually, I haven't even given it to her yet... bad Kururu Kid...
Oh well... I was too lazy to color it... yet... If Sally wants it colored, I'll color it... but as of now...
black and white is good enough for me. I actually like this piece too... I don't want to give away the original...
This was a requested piece... I added the wings... don't ask me why... I have a new obsession with wings ever
since I almost got hit by a pair at the Anime Convention... Hehehe... I made up my own anime girl! (not like I've
never done it before... but anyway...)
Samantha's 16th Birthday Jammin' Wit' A Sponge
Date Finished: 4.4.03
Okay... I think this thing is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to draw in my entire life!! I did a
pretty dandy job... if I DO say so myself... teehee... Just to get the facts straight... I don't like SpongeBob
too much... but the fact that he's jammin' on a guitar is the coolest thing I've ever seen... This picture is
the coolest thing I've ever seen... The starfish (Patrick??)'s drum set thingamabob was the heardest part of all...
*sniff sniff*... It was a struggle... but I made it and Samantha liked it... I think...
Happy Mother's Day 2003
Date Finished: 5.3.03
Weee!! I finally got this thing finished.... I actually finished coloring the thing after Mother's Day... so I deserve a slap... Well anyways, I'm quite pleased with the results. I tried to make the lily real looking and I think I did pretty good. What do you think? Well... the background was troublesome because of all the stuff in the way... The Chinese characters and the border is brightened using white acrylic paint. Cool, neh? Well... that's all... Oh yeah... lilies rule!! They soo rule over roses. They seriously do. ^_^
Laura's 16th Birthday Happy Happy Joy Joy
Date Finished: 5.16.03
YES!! I actually finished this before her birthday!! Aren't you proud of me?!?! YAY!! Well... I tried to make this as real as possible too... (see my trend here?) I got the picture from the ol' World Book Encyclopedia because I was too lazy to look for anything else. Also, I wanted to keep it simple, since I can't handle complex stuff right now. Well... I like the results for this too. At first, the picture didn't look right after I drew a sketch of it, but when I colored it, it looked a lot better. Also, I added white acrylic paint to give the water highlights.
Reconciliation
Date Finished: 5.24.03
My art teacher told me to draw a picture of a car. The idea and image of the car isn't from my brain (if it was, I wouldn't be here right now, if you know what I mean ^_-). But, as soon as he said "car" I thought of someone and the random song lyrics reflects how I feel. Therefore, the title of this and the song has nothing to do with the car. The car is a mere object that accompanies the words and their meaning. Think about it.
Happy Father's Day 203
Date Finished: 6.2003
No big deal... I didn't even make up the picture... got it off of some painting I saw in art class... the words at the bottom says dream.
Lana's 18th Birthday Nemo... NEMO!!! What a Nice Name....
Date Finished: 6.22.03
Teehee.... just can't get that phrase outta my head... That's Dory's crazy line from Finding Nemo, for those of you that are weird and that don't know. I've seen that for like the 2nd time. It's THAT good. Go see it. NOW!! Anyways... this pic is of cute lil Nemo, cartoony version. Yeah... I got the pic from a pin I found online. See... if I actually made that up, I wouldn't be here... typing away on an HTML thingiemabob...
Cindy's 18th Birthday Hello Kitty Crazy!!
Date Finished: 6.25.03
For my pal Cindy!! We all know you like Hello Kitty... crazy woman... I dun really like Hello Kitty... but that's just me... and me alone.... *dodges incredibly sharp projectiles thrown at me* *sigh*... let's see... yes... my goal was to make the girl look like Cindy... Didn't really work out though... Um.... the little Hello Kitty by the Chinese words is a sticker... and the big drawing of Hello Kitty is modeled after that one. Yeah... that's about it.
Daipan's 18th Birthday oO... Maroon...
Date Finished: 6.25.03
Hahaha.... this thing is SoOoOoOo LATE!!! Gomen Daipan... Gomen... Hey... I still drew it for you! Teehee... I didn't think up the pose... I was actually gonna do some tennis comic thingie... I took pictures to use as reference... but in the end... I couldn't. So, I did this thing instead. That's supposed to be my pal Daipan playing tennis for the MIT Beavers... since, you know, that's where he's going. Haha... it doesn't really look like him... but whatever. It gave my brother goosebumps when he saw it. Well... I like the arm the best... I overdid the drawn shadow things... o well. Oh yeah.... I will NEVER try to imitate the "Asian glow", as Daipan calls it, ever again!! You do NOT want to know what it looked like.... Trust me.
Originals
Happy Fourth of July!
Date Finished: 6.22.02
Teehee... I liked this picture a lot... see what I can do during the summer when I feel like it? Hehehe... I'm
too lazy to do anything really... I like the whole picture and YES THAT THING IS A FAKE BEARD! I drew a bunch of
stuff with these two crazy people in it. The Merry Christmas to Everyone! picture is the same person as
this Uncle Sam (he likes to disguise himself as people). I have to create names for them. I don't like their eyes
a whole lot... I was in the whole 'blurry eyes' phase back then... I drew a Kingdom Hearts picture with Sora and
Kairi with blurry eyes... I like it and I don't like it and it's not posted.
Happy Halloween!
Date Finished: 10.12.02
HAHAHA... I like this picture... and I don't like it... I think I editted the version that's posted... but I'm not
sure... Anyway... the house is sooo plain... doesn't show my skills in coloring... no blending, you know? I think
I was still influenced by Digimon back then: take a look at the hands. Hehehe.. the only thing I do like is the
vampire, which I call vambies, but for those Brave Fencer Musashi fans, vambies are a TOTALLY different thing,
right? ^_^
Randomness
Bubbles...
Date Finished: 7.02
Don't ask me why I drew my keychain... Don't ask me why I named him Bubbles... Don't ask me why I just gave it
a gender... Don't ask me why I was going to give it to someone that was going back to China... Just don't
ask... It actually does look like the keychain... I can tell you THAT. ^_^
Under the Sea... UNDER THE SEA!
Date Finished: 7.02
Hehehe... I actually don't have the original for this piece... I submitted it to the school magazine and they
never gave it back... O well... at least I have a scanned copy of it... I liked this picture. Please, don't mind
the wrong proportions... It's not about proportions... It's about the ocean... Yes... the ocean... The sea was
colored really well, since my art teacher told me to color really dark... Oh yeah, the idea is from his lil
collection of stickers... he told me to pick a few and draw... so I drew...
Pokey, El Perro
Date Finished: Forgot...
I don't have the original for this either, so that's why I don't know the date I finished it... see... back then,
I had a bad habit it not putting the dates on my drawings... yeah... so that's why I'm so confused. The only
thing I like about this is the trees and the sky and the bushes and the dog. I don't like the grass in which he
stands. It was colored horribly... This is yet again from my art teachers collection of... black and white... stuff...
My Best Friend, the Star
Date Finished: 11.18.00
I liked this picture... at first... then the moon's eye began to scare me... *shivers*... I like the star though.
This is from my art teacher's crazy collection of black and whites again. This piece was when I came back to the
art class... after one or two years of not going... Teehee... I improved I guess...
How About Some Tea, My Friend?
Date Finished: 7.6.02
This is from my art teacher's collection of cards. I don't know why someone would buy a card with a teaset on it.
I don't want to know. I do like this picture though... just a little. I like contrast and shininess of the teapot
and teacups. Use an eraser he said. And what he said worked...
Because I Just Love Drawing Old Woman...
Date Finished: 2002
HAHAHAHA... how stupid of me... I didn't even write a date for this piece... Silly ol me... I don't like this
picture anyway... if you look at the original... you find that her eye is really scary looking... and just
so you know... it's just the head statue (I forgot what that was called...) of an elderly lady...
Yes... I Celebrate Easter ALL the time...
Date Finished: 4.25.03
Another one of my art teacher's crazy ideas: design a graphic for an Easter egg... Even though Easter had passed some time ago... but anyways... I liked the design for this. I probably spent about 5 seconds drawing the grass and coloring the whole thing the night before, and spent a half hour fixing the thing in class. I actually think it's kind of pretty... Yep, I like lilies. They're really preety. I like them more than roses. Yes... that's a hummingbird... doesn't look like one, but it is. Yes... those are vines draping over the egg... which is part of the design. It took me awhile to draw that tangle of vines along the bottom though... it follows the pattern of a braid. I hope you enjoy this pic as much as I enjoyed drawing it!
Child's Play
Date Finished: 4.12.03
Yes, you read right. This was finished on April 12 of 2003. Yes. 2003. Funny, isn't it? My aunt thought that I did it a long time ago, since it looks... well... like a child did it. But, you see, it's actually more complicated than that. The picture came from a card and the proportions of the houses and buildings and everything had to be right. Also, the pic may look like it was done with watercolors... but it wasn't. It was watercolor pencils. Those are so fun. I saw someone use them the class before and I wanted to use them ever since then. A little girl lent them to me. It's actually a pretty cute picture. ^_^
Happy Purple Whale
Date Finished: 1.2000
OoOoOo... I remember this pic! It was done when I was in eighth grade. It was the second time I went back to my art class. It was one of my first assignments! Okay, enough of me reminiscing the past... I like it... because it's cute... I remember my pal Connie did the same one. She noticed that the shells were hearts!! ^_^ Oh yeah, since I recently uploaded this, I changed my so called 'signature'. It's no longer Z.X.T; I changed it to J.Z.T. because well... I don't know... I didn't even bother to erase my real signature at the bottom. Too lazy... Oh well... hope ya likey!
Realish
A Beautiful Day by the Harbor
Date Finished: 2.02
I DO NOT like this picture at all! I DESPISE it! It needs to BURN! It took WAY too long to paint and I
don't like it! GRRR.... That's all I have to say...
Visit a Lighthouse
Date Finished: 2002
Since I don't have the original for this, I don't know the date, but I'm so proud of this picture! I LOVE it, I
LOVE it, I LOVE it! Teehee... I know it doesn't look that real, but I LOVE it so much... I don't know why, I just
do! It was originally a painting, but I did it with colored pencils. Either way, I love it! Enough said! ^_^
Koala Bear
Date Finished: Forgot...
Teehee... a look into my ANCIENT galleries... This drawing of a koala bear was actually a stuffed animal. I probably did half of that. One of my art teacher's assistants (Jeffrey was it?) did the other half. Yes... that's how pitiful I was... Well... I still like it because I did some of it... ^_^
Because I Love Drawing Fruits...
Date Finished: Forgot
ANCIENT stuff rule! Anyway, this was, again, drawn at the same time frame as the koala pic. I like it anyway, even though I didn't do like half of that... Oh well... Hey... effort counts, you know? :)
More to come!!
