| Well now, yet another somewhat serious page. Here you will find a link to my music background (which, although some may think it is, is NOT that much) explaining how much music has been an influence in my life, and links to my lyrics. Yes, I know I'm not the best of writers, but that's what the minor in music is for, right? I'm here to learn, and constructive criticism is always a good thing, so feel free to comment (NOT put down) as much as you want. I'll also leave my contact info at the bottom of the page so you can give me a personal critique, or I'll put something at the end of each set of lyrics... or something. |

| My Lyrics OK, so here's all the songs that I have written and kept since I started writing my own lyrics, which was the beginning of my freshman year. Of course, back then I didn't think about saving them, so most of this starts 2004. As for actual music? I'm still working on that--for the most part, I just don't have the time to sit for at least an hour and compose on my ghetto Guitar Pro. I'll admit, I HAVE composed a little on a few of the songs, but it's been a while since I actually got an idea, wrote it down, and put it into a song... about a year, I believe. Hehe, but I will admit that it was probably the stuff I've composed that got me into Pomona. Either that or some leadership quality that I didn't know I possessed. ^_^ Hmm, what kind of music do my lyrics go to? Uh, I like the whole acoustic guitar feel, but really, it can go for any genre. My personal opinion is that it goes with a more rock/pop feel, but that's because that's my favorite genre. Still, that doesn't mean that I don't write rap--I've written a few raps before. I'll make sure to put the one that I wrote in 2 minutes up, since my Posse loved it so much, haha. But for the most part, it's mostly something you can sing to with just an acoustic guitar. I just want to say that, yes, the majority of the songs are about love. Why? Well, it's a big part of my life, a big part of growing up, in my opinion. A lot of this is based on past experiences--really, that's how I get in the mood. I can't just write. I need to get in that "writing mode," which is why I haven't written in a while. I am driven by emotion, so I write what I'm feeling at the moment, and that's usually my most intense moments. But yeah, this is about my life, for the most part. There are a few that don't apply to me, but to my friends. The list keeps growing, so if you like my lyrics, I'll let you know when I write another song and post it. Keep in mind that even though I've been doing this for a few years, I'M STILL A BEGINNER, so if you don't like it, or if it's too much about love, I'm sorry. At times I do feel like I could do better, but this is what I can give to you guys for now. Oh yeah, it's not copywrited, so if someone steals it, I really don't care. I'd be more than flattered, and it's not like I need the money... well I do... but eh, they'd probably make it into a better song than it is now.
