It is not know exactly how the human-dog relationship began but one guess is that the dogs were natural hunter like the humans. They would smell the left over food of the humans to get a bite to eat. the humans tolerated it because the rooting meat would smell and attract bugs. After tolerating the dogs for a time the humans noticed another plus to having the dogs around. Because the dogs started to feel the human area as their territory whenever an intruder cam they would sound the alarm. They took this a step further as bringing them into their homes so that when anyone came near the house the dog would bark sort of like their own doorbell. Ever since, humans and dogs have been inceprable. They truly are man's best friend. |  |
