Panhandle Skirmishes

We need you there!  All fighters are hereby requested and required to take at least one shot at Lord Tatheg during the day...and to enjoy yourselves immensely!  We always have fun when we meet up with the Trimarians, no matter what kind of hot air we both blow beforehand.  For more information on this fine event happening October 19-21, 2001, see their web page at www.geocities.com/panhandle_skirm.

Consortium Challenge for the Chalice, 2001

Chalice Challenge, hosted this year by the illustrious shire of Ravenwood, was held this recently past Labor Day weekend...September 1st, to be exact.  Through competitions and voting, many new officers stepped up this year, including some from our newest old member, Rivermarch, who rejoined the Consortium that day.  So, who won what?

Martial:
Fyrdwise (War Leader), by vote: Earl Michael Bohun, Dragonfly Marsh
Cempa (Champion), by combat: Lord Murchadh inn Digri, Rivermarch
Guthhere (Companions in Arms), by combat: the Shire of Rivermarch

Artistic:
Heahwyrta (High Artisan), by vote: To be Determined*
Craeftiga (A&S Champion), by competition: Sayidda Dinah bint Ismai'l, Camden Tor
Aefensceop (Entertainment Arts), by competition: the Tir Briste Dancers

Chalice Guardians (Overall Winners for the Day): the Shire of Rivermarch

And, so aptly named, the new
Consortium Weard is THLord Giovanni Francisco de Valencia (Just Gio).  Gio chose for his Aewita (Counselor) Master Geoffrey MacDhomhill.  Additionally, due to time constraints brought on by a new Kingdom office, Shair Fiachna has retired from tax collecting and information distribution.  Lady Marie Gautrot will happily take your money as the new Caecepol (Tax Collector), and Lady Yseult de Montagu will keep you informed as Cronic (Minister of Information).

*Due to rain, the voting drew to a premature close, thus leaving the office of
Heahwyrta unfilled.  Your seneschal should be polling you for candidates for this office.  Voting will occur as soon as nominations are submitted.

Also, there is currently a motion to merge the two positions of
Boda (Council Herald) and Hildecall (War Herald) into one office (Consortium Herald).

Contact information for officers can be found on the Consortium web page.

What's going on in

[Link will be added as submissions become available]

Finally, we will be archiving articles, letters, and other submissions.  Since we're just getting started, only articles from the original July 1998 edition are currently available, but we hope that will change with your contributions!  More >>>
