Students: Ages 8 to Adult
Vocal coaching is available to all interested singers--from 'not yet' singers to accomplished performers who wish to study Contemporary Commercial Music (pop, blues, jazz, rock, folk, gospel, metal, etc.) and Musical Theatre.
Initial Vocal Assessment:
As it is important to ensure a good match between student and teacher, the first lesson consists of a vocal assessment
and goal-setting as a pre-requisite for enrollment as a student.
Studio Concerts:
Public Studio Concerts are conducted 2-3 times per year. A minimal fee of $5 per student may be charged per student to help cover recital hall rental fees. Students may also schedule periodic Mini-Concerts during their lesson time to gain performance skills. Up to 6 guests may be invited.
Commitment:
For a successful experience, a minimum of a 6 month commitment is recommended. This allows the student to un-do vocal habits that have been getting in the way of freedom and flow, and to develop understanding and consistency with new techniques and choices.
Practice:
Create a routine by setting aside a specific time to practice. If your week is hectic and practice is missed, attend your next lesson to get back on track! Discuss difficulties with me right away so we can find solutions for you.
Stopping Lessons:
Students are required to provide 2 WEEKS NOTICE of intent to stop lessons. Lessons terminated prior to the end of the month cannot be refunded
Absences:
Please consider your lessons to be a priority in your weekly schedule. Cancel only for true emergencies or illness. If you know in advance that you must be absent, please use your SWAP SHEET to contact another student and ask to swap lesson slots that week. If you find that no one is available to swap with you, or you will be gone the entire week, then call me and we'll work out a time to make-up your lesson at the next available opening in my teaching schedule.
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to schedule a make-up lesson if you must be absent. Due to the short notice, same day cancellations (or after 8pm the previous evening) and 'no shows' are not eligible for make-up, credit or refund. The student is responsible for full payment in these circumstances. No exceptions.
Location:
Lessons are conducted in my home studio on the north side of Colorado Springs, off Vickers and Academy Blvd.
Parking:
Please park your vehicle by the two large shrubs on the street in front of my home so that my family may come and go with ease. Please be considerate of our neighbors in the cul-de-sac by avoiding excess noise, speed, blocking their driveways, etc!

All tuition is due at the first lesson of each month.
Standard Lesson Format:
Weekly 45 Minute Lessons: $120/month (avg) based on $30/lesson
The standard monthly tuition is based on $30/lesson with typically 4 lessons per month. When there are 3 or 5 weeks in a month, the student will pay that corresponding amount instead. See Calendar.
There is no charge for my vacation time.
All fees subject to change.
Optional Schedules of 1 hour,
1 1/2 hour and 1/2 hour may be available for specific needs. See Connie for details.
Consultations: $30/45 minutes
Individuals not enrolled as a regular student may request a consultation appointment on a space available basis for needs such as:
>Performance preparation
>Audition preparation
>Music selection for a performance
>Developing a harmony part
>Keying material
>Self-promotion assistance (i.e. creating promo packs)
>Studio recording preparation
