| Picture below -- The keel winch "as found". What the *!@#*!@#* is that washer doing on the cable?? Oh, it must have been under the nut that's also on the cable, buried under a few wraps of cable! That cable looks like a rat's been chewing it! Maybe there's a threaded bushing that once went through the cable hole, to protect the fiberglass? If so, it's down at the keel-end of the cable now.... And why is the winch sitting at such an angle? |
