View of port-side end of keel pivot bolt. Note previous leakage has caused old bilge paint to peel away, exposing fiberglass. (Yes, the old through-hull fittings for the direct-discharge head are soon to be replaced!)
Close-up view of port-side keel pivot bolt. No apparent wear visible around ss bushing. Fiberglass slightly cut by edges of ss washer, just as on starboard side.

I heard that many other Balboa's suffer a lot of damage to the fiberglass here due to grounding with the keel down.

First step of assembly: the rubber sheet was coated heavily with West Marine Multi-Caulk sealant. Rubber washer cut from trailer roller is waiting to be installed, with lots more sealant.
