Since this was my second time in Japan, I was somewhat ready for it. Then again, one is never quite ready for Japan, some situations and places in this country could be at times...very weird.

| At the end of April, 2001, I had saved up enough money to visit Japan for the second time (my first visit was in 1997). I know most of my Japanese friends via school (my college, Langara had an exchange program with Takushoku University in Hachioji, Japan). I was anxious to see them on their home turf. I also visited Sapporo, a city in the northern island of Hokkaido. My buddy from Vancouver had moved there to live with his girlfriend so I decided to see how life was up north.
