The theme—Power of the East: Unity beyond the Difference

It is not possible to live a life without power; power herein is inner energy, which carries out all things in a daily life. This “power” needs to be allocated to brainstorming about what we could do to make Asia a better place to live. However, we should not get confused it with a nation’s military might or wealth. To be precise, this is about power within each Asian citizen combining into one force, which is the key to an accomplishment.

Power of the east

Power to end

Asian countries have had enough of politically unrest events: religious, racial, economic and political turmoil. As one united force, we, Asia’s future lawyers have the power to possibly end these regional unsolved problems.

Power to create

Not only should we end the problems but we also need to create new things for Asia. As law students, our purpose is to make use of the laws to their best efficacy, which is to say that applicable laws should be analyzed and correctly accrued, moreover, we need to brainstorm a possible resolution for deadlock issues as the Asian society has been traumatized by many unfortunate events and incredibly modernized in the past few years. Most importantly, equality, justice and satisfaction must be granted to all.

Power to keep

The power to keep is in fact the power to keep Asia at peace which can be referred to two things: power to reserve  what is beneficial to the region and power to fulfil which requires all Asian countries, both ALSA member countries and Non-ALSA member countries, to collaborate as a crucial means to achieve our goals

The definition of “Power of the East” can not be defined in one page or two. It is you; the new wave of Asian lawyers, who will come to define it. Come and join us, together, let us discover the meaning of real power: “Power of the East”

Unity beyond the difference

Asia is the world’s biggest continent where cultures and races are varied in each part. It is ostensible that the diversity within the Asians can stir regional conflicts. Despite these troubles, there is a shared optimism for Asian to strive for prosperity and peace throughout the region--namely, we are Asian hopefuls in search for UNITY!

This Conference will provide a delegate who comes from a different culture and background, a floor to share a legal opinion. We may not find a final conclusion for the issues proposed in the Conference, we are nevertheless certain that friendships existing between ALSA members will further strengthen the Association that is thriving to be a self-sufficient powerful cooperation in the region.
