False Prophecies For Fame and Fortune

20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. 21 And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken? 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
(Deuteronomy 18:20-22)

3 Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! (Ezekiel 13:3)

9 As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as one whom the LORD has truly sent. (Jeremiah 28:9)

Ever wonder why the prophecies of Tim LaHaye, Jack Van Impe, Hal Lindsey, Pat Robertson, the late Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, John Hagee and so many other TV and radio preachers never come to pass? Most Christians don't wonder why, but they should. There is a reason why their prophecies fail it is because they are false prophets. The end time prohecies were fulfilled during  the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. It is a good thing for them that they are not making predictions in the Old Testaement times.

The problem is Chrisitans listen to these false prophets but never hold them accountable for their unfulfilled prophecies. Thus the fools game goes on decade after decade, generation after generation. While Christians wait for the rapture, the humanist continue to take over every part of society. The likes of Tim LaHaye, Jack Van Impe etc preach what the preach for fame and fortune, especially fortune. They will be judged by God for misleading so many people and making Christians laughing stocks.
