| 1,000 Years The 1,000 year reign of Christ in Revelation 20 is not a literal 1,000 years. The number 1,000 is used throughout Scripture in a symbolic way to denote completeness. Psalm 50:10 10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalm 68:17 17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place. Psalm 84:10 10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 90:4 4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. Deuteronomy 1:11 11 May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you!
