After going way backstage by the dressing rooms, I was ready to meet Jo Dee! One at a time, fans were meeting Jo Dee. I was so excited, what would I say, what would she be like. When I came in she signed my album cover and told Don, her tour manager/fiance' that her pen was running low. I told her that I had something for her and she said that she always gets embarassed when people give her things. Me too! She opened her card and said aw after reading the card I made. I wrote something like 'no matter what anyone say about you, we (the fans) will always love you.' I also gave her a beaded keychain I made in the shape of a heart. She said she could use it so she wouldn't lose her keys...After the picture was taken, she told me I was hot. The reason: I had gotten sunburned on my arms that day and the day before. I didn't think of it until I left (how could I think with one of my favorite singers right there?!), that I could have said something about 'burn'ing. Like her album cover...She was very sweet and kind to let us in the dressing rooms back there. I can't wait to see/meet her again!

Jo Dee & Me
Jo Dee Rocks!
Travis Tritt
Of course Jo Dee was the best of the day! Why they even had Travis Tritt there is a mystery to me. Jo Dee should have headlined. Complete with dancers and dancing, Jo Dee blew the crowd away. She sang all her hits and tons of songs from BUrN. Her 3rd time in a row playing at Fest was definitely the best! Travis Tritt reminded me of JMM. Slow songs city. I didn't even care to see him, after Jo Dee he didn't have a chance with me. I hope she comes back for a 4th consecutive year!
Well, Oh, That's the way it is You gotta roll with the punches That's the way it goes You gotta bend when the wind blows You live you learn You crash and burn It's hit or miss And that's the way it is
Theres nothin I can do I cant fight it I got a heart like a rocket I just gotta ride it Oh the cold, hard truth When it comes to lovin you Theres nothin I can do
Well I'm a member of a country club Country music is what I love I drive an old Ford pick-up truck I do my drink-in from a dixie cup Yea I'm a bona-fide dancin' fool I shoot a mighty mean game of pool At any honky-tonk roadside pub I'm a member of a country club
