I felt that the 25 people in the class deserved better than the dirty little room we were in. They had very little opportunity to actually speak with a native speaker and on top of the fees they had to pay, they also had to pay extra for books and other materials.
I decided that if I were in their position, I wouldn't stay at the school. Of course, the fact that I would have been teaching would have made me stay but surely there was a better way?
