Community Clean-Ups

Each Spring and fall, a Community Clean-Up is held to clean the area between Agnes and Arlington, Portage and Notre Dame. St. Matthew's-Maryland Community Ministry, together with West Central Community Project for Women, helps orgranize the event to support residents in creating a cleaner, safer neighbourhood. The Clean-Up also helps build good connections between residents and encourage ownership and pride in the neighbourhood.

All community members are invited to participate in the twice-yearly Clean-Ups, helping to remove litter and garbage from back-lanes and streets. Following each Clean-Up, a community meal is held for participants to celebrate their efforts and enjoy the company of their neighbours. Call 774-3957 for dates and information.
