When you use a computer, always keep in mind that:-

  • Computers use Electricity,
  • The parts inside a computer are very inportant and are easily damaged. Usualy by misuse or rough treatment.
  • Some parts of the Central Processing Unit (CPU) can be damaged or even destroyed by static electricitycoming from anywere, mainly you.
  • Some item eg, Printer Toner / Ink Cartridges are toxic and contain harmful chemicals.

Steps To Setting Up The Computer.

  • When you buy your computer, you will always be given a manual on how to set it up.
  • Nowadays, computer cables are colour coded, so you can easily find what goes were. DO NOT force cables into ports, they have all been cut specialy so once you figure it out propely, they will all fit just right.
  • Make sure that you keep all your wires tidy. If you dont, then this may cause you and others to trip and injur themselfs.
  • Make sure that you do all of theses steps, so that you or anybody else, dont get any eletric shocks.

Maintaning Computer Safety

  • Sometimes you will fell that your computer is a bit old fasion and its starting to get a bit slow. Well this means thast you may need to upgrade your computer. weather its adding a new port or just putting some more RAM in to increase your RAM size. By doing this, there are always dangers of eletric shock and damage to some of the hardware indise. These are usualy cause by rough treatment or static electricity.
