The Coca Cola Mobile Phone Deal

Latest News
In recent years, Coca Cola has been making up some of the most worst competitions ever in existence. There was this time where you could get a Teac brand Discman if you collect 10 labels of specially marked bottles of Coke. What happened wasa that all the Discmans were sold out in a week and therefore many of the people who had tried to get one lost out. But Coca Cola obviously didn't. They must have got a huge boost in sales which would have got someone in their marketing department promoted.
But now an even more dubious competition has started. This time, it involves a mobile phone. To get this mobile phone, all you have to do is get 15 labels of Coke and then go to a mobile phone shop and blow an extra 50 bucks before you can get your phone. An example of one label is shown below:

Now, is it just me or is this the biggest scam ever in the history of advertising? I mean, you must be one of the Three Stooges to fall for this one. Who in all hell would pay that much for a phone only to get $10 worth of credit which is then forfeited if it isn't used up by a particular date? I always knew that competitions were seedy, by yeesh!
My last mobile phone was way cheaper. In all, it cost $50 (20 for the phone, 30 for the call credit). I have to admit it was a pretty good deal. Even though it was a cheap phone, it was strong and did it's job. It even looked better than the phone Coca Cola is willing to give away. The buttons on their phone are ridiculously small!
Let us see how much the Coca Cola phone costs in total. First there are the labels that you have to collect. Unless you are a cleaner, you ain't gonna get them for free, so you have to pay for them. The average cost of a bottle of Coke is about two dollars, so I'll use this amount. To get 15 labels, you will have to dish out about $30 dollars. This plus the $50 extra to apply for the phone makes you $80 less rich. A grand way to blow your money if there ever was one.
But wait! There's more! If you decide to use a different network than the one Coca Cola is offering, then you have to surrender about $70 more, making your final cost about $150 for the whole phone. If you decide to only start to use the phone at least 12 months after you have bought it, then you have to pay about $30 extra. Total cost = $110. For proof, you can check out the bottom of
their site for the fine print.
More madness arises when you have to fill out a form to get the phone. You have to give the form with your money to get the phone.
Look at the form! I can't believe you have to got to all this trouble just for one phone! I can get a ...........
