| Out of all those environmental action groups, Greenpeace has got to be the most stupid, annoying and idiotic of them all. I mean, who else, besides from environmentalists, gives a damn about Greenpeace and what they stand for? I for one don't! Greenpeace and other environmental action groups are hypocrites. They want to see an end to logging forests while it's this exact process that provides them with the hugh amounts of paper to print and distribute their propaganda on. They want people to stop killing animals while the harvesters that provide Greenpeace members with their food (grains, fruits, vegetables, etc.) also kills animals (for the truth about vegetarianism, read Maddox's article about the subject). They want oil companies to stop producing oil while they are completely ignorant of the fact that without oil, the plastic that is used for their bongs would never have existed. See what I mean folks? It appears that Greenpeace is a major candidate of hypocrisy. Let me give you an example. On the 17th of December 2001, about 50 Greenpeace demonstrators stormed a place called Lucas Heights, a nuclear power plant in Australia. They were protesting against three main things. They are: 1) that nuclear power isn't safe, 2) plans to construct a second nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights and (this is the weird part), 3)slack secutity measures protecting nuclear power plants. Oh, I see Greenpeace, by exposing the lax security measures at Lucas Heights, you are making a point that they can easily be invaded. Hmmm..... pretty good, except for one simple fact. What do you notice about the date in which this "invasion" occured? It happened to be nearly three months after the September 11th terrorist attacks. Down here, it was pretty shaky and everyone was still in shock. We were also afraid of some terrorist attack. The actions in which Greenpeace took at Lucas Heights can't be justified. It created unnecessary panic. Hell, if I was a security guard there, I would have shot at them, thinking they were terrorists! I might even shoot them anyway, even though I know they came from Greenpeace, but I will give the excuse saying that I thought they were terrorists. The courts will find no problem in that. I'm sure of it. I decided to visit their website in order to find out some answers to questions like "Why are they bothering to still exist?" One of their main articles, when I visited anyway, was about the Bhopal chemical leak, which occured in India in 1984. All I had to do was read the heading and I knew straight away that this was yet another propaganda piece that was highly emotional and stuff. The article was named "Bhopal disaster has no parallel in human history". It was apparently named after a policeman was allegedly interviewed by Greenpeace. Said policeman stated that the Bhopal disaster was worse than the riots and turmoil created when India became independant from Britain in 1947. Clearly, no Indian person would say that. I mean, the entire mess created after the 1947 partition of India into India and Pakistan was huge. It was nationwide, not just in one town. Basically, the article is saying that the Bhopal disaster is worse than any other disaster......... |
