Why Compassion?
South East
Asia has been an area of constant turmoil. From the Vietnam War, the
Cambodian Genocide to the AIDS epidemic in Thailand, many refugees have fled
to the United States in hopes of a brighter future. Time and time
again the people of South East Asia have manage to adapt themselves in their
new surroundings. Though there are still problems facing South East
Asians today both here and abroad, one thing hasn't change - the
Compassion
of its people.
About Us
Compassion is a non-profit organization that collects stories, poems and essays from South East Asian students across the United States. It offers them a place to voice their opinion, speak their mind and connect with each other. The main purpose of Compassion is to bring students with the same background together so that they know they are not alone.
We hope you enjoy the essays!
