St.Patrick's Day
March 17, 2002

Grandpa's father was a Scottish lion
But his mother was an Irish dove.
'Tho he grew up wearin' Scottish plaid
He learned Irish legends love

Of Leprechauns, Shamrocks, St Patrick
And the Blarney Stone too.
So, one day my Grandpa told me of
A dear legend I'll now tell you.

An Irish lass must be wary
And watch very close each day,
And quick run and hide if
She sees Leprechauns at play.

So now the lass must not only watch
For the Leprechaun's thrown kiss
But for one carried by a butterfly
It's so easy to miss.

There's few who can escape
This terrible, terrible thing,
And that's why little girls giggle
At just about everything!

A Poem By DC

If a Leprechaun should throw her
A kiss, it carries a mighty power.
If someday she has a baby girl
The babe'll giggle hour after hour.

Sure it's a terrible thing!  For
If a butterfly should pass by
The kiss may land and be carried
To the first lass he should spy.
A Thrown Kiss
Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Don't forget the wearin' of the green
And for goodness sake, lasses
Watch out for Leprechaun Kisses !
