Community Link Group is an independent specialist private self-help "victim-centred" support group meeting the needs of victims of racial harassment who have been neglected and ignored by key mainstream agencies and are struggling and unable to access appropriate support and assistance. An important aim of this group is therefore to provide an independent and neutral forum for the victims to independently voice their concerns and issues. COMMUNITY LINK GROUP AIMS & OBJECTIVES (1) To establish a LINK between the local communities and the agencies that have the legal powers to tackle racial harassment. (2) To establish and sustain a Community based Link Group for complainants of racial harassment, which will ensure that clients/victims are aware of their rights and the choices open to them to access services from appropriate agencies. (3) Community Link Group consisting of volunteers will promote confidence within the community and thus will address the current under reporting of incidents. (4) Community Link is a voluntary group, which works independently offering free, confidential, advice, information, and emotional support to people who suffer racial harassment, at work, at home, on the street or any where else.
