Mods (suggested) to the VC-VH carb or VK efi dizzy to remove all advance!

Dismantle the distributor until you have access to the
mechanical advance mechanism

Bend the advance limiting tabs in, so that there is then
least amount of play in the mechanical advance mechanism

Place some tack welds from the side of the advance
weights to the centre of the dizzy, as shown. (Note: if you don't have a
welder, chances are an exhaust shop will do the tacks free of cost.)

Unscrew the base plate from the reluctor unit. From a small piece of
metal, make a hole so that, when mounted onto the flat section of the
base plate, loops over the vacuum advance canister's link stub as below. Note: MAKE SURE that when you make the locking piece to weld onto the base plate, you have the locking hole in a position which, when the reluctor unit (top half) is fitted, the reluctor's screwdriver cutouts line up with the base plate's screw holes. If you don't do this, then you won't be able to screw the reluctor unit and base plate onto the dizzy!

Weld the metal plate to the base plate, as below.

- Re-assemble the distributor :)
