| 1. Short Introduction to Commonsense Please see press releases on the philosophy, its application and ramifications for politics. Commonsense political philosophy tries to turn our attention more towards where we are going (towards increasing levels of civilisation, ethical and spiritual growth) and less on where we are coming from - the physical, emotional and animal ... Commonsense political philosophy assumes that we all want to feel secure, and to feel that we are developing... getting somewhere. Any End can never Justify the Means used to get there - because there will never be an end - because we will keep on going, keep on creating Purpose and creating meaning - even if only for ourselves, in our own terms As We Will, because We Must, As We Must because We Can. To do any less than to keep trying to create higher levels of meaning and opportunity forever, Is to turn our backs on Reason - that which distinguishes us from all other of Earth's creatures, and to desert our destiny in the face of no greater enemy than a jealous Uber-Creature, which should be ignored, even if it does exist (... and is shy, or playing a waiting game, as well as Jealous). |
