REPORTS
By a South Coast Villain - LIVERPOOL 1 VILLA 3

As we heard the team news it was a bit of a shock to hear that Dublin was in the starting line up. (he later proved his worth)

Game kicked off really  pumping in the away end every one gave it there all for the Villa boys. Liverpool had a lot of the ball in the first 10 mins fowler had way to much space out on the right hand side but thankfully this came to nothing.

We then earned a free kick just out side the edge of the liverpool area on the right hand side (kicking towards the kop) Merson took a great free kick right up in the air for Dion to head home and send the traveling Villa fans mad! This really was a well worked free kick as you could see dublin behind vassell un till the last min when he made is run and headed home.

With only 15 mins left to half time we just had to hang on to the lead. which we did very well couple of shots from both teams. Half time goes what a feeling knowing you r 1-0 up at Anfield. It really kicked off down below in the food and drink area with the My old Man song people geting nicked for going that mad!!

Second half kicks off Liverpool are attacking the world famous kop. Stright away they earn a courner on the right hand side well driven in by Gary mac just to far from PS to get his hands on it with Steve Gerrard geting his head on it and takeing the game level again.
I have to be honest I felt there was no way we could hang on or win this game. (knowing that Owen will be comeing on soon) Few shots came in mostly for Liverpool but we really did well to hold them off. it really was only a matter of time before they made it count. Some one crossed the ball in to Dion from the left hand side what skill from dion to chest it down bring it over a player (until he kicks the air) but thankfully Hendrie was there to once again send the Villa fans mad!!

After this happend it was not far off before The kop hero Gerrard gets him self sent off well done ref for geting it right and giveing the red card. by this time it was all Liverpool attack after attack PS really played well every one fighting for the ball.

We then just pumped the ball out left in the hop that vassell could latch on to it he really did just out run the 2 liverpool defenders stright past them. (you cant see this on tv but dion really was SCREAMING for the ball Vassell turns right and in off the liverpool player in send it in to the top of the net. GET IN THERE 3-1!! Jumping around huging every one. just going mad for it!

After this it was all liverpool they really could of had 2 goals 2 very close headers just wide. (still the kop was not geting behind there team) we all new there was going to be at least 5 mins extra time to be played with the sending off and a few subs etc.

WE HAD HUNG ON FOR AN AMAZING WIN at the mighty Anfield. After the game all the players came right up to the Villa fans giving it loads. The players really did give it there all

Thanks 2 all the fans for really making this an amazing day lets just hope we can get the same kind of  results on and off the field in the Saints and West Ham away games.
Angel Double Not Enough

Aston Villa 2
Varteks 3

Aston Villa's UEFA Cup dreams seem to have disappeared after a disapointing result at Villa Park. Gregory seemed to play a second rate team with Hendrie and Merson not even on the bench.

Villa went down 1 nil in the later stages of the first half but to equalise in the second half by Angel. However, they managed to score to retake the lead. Hopes raised for Villa as Angel scored his second. Then a "tactical" switch by Gregory, Barry for Kachloul. When drawing 2-2 in a UEFA Cup game at home, you want top win. So why didn't he bring on Bosko??

Ginola made an appearance, which made the crowd cheer.

To be able to go through to the next round Villa must win by two goals.

COME ON YOU VILLA BOYS!
Why Cheer Ginola???

No matter what Villa fans seem to love Ginola. However, I think he is a waste of a player. If you can remember back to the Intertoto Cup game against Basel, you will recall that Ginola assisted the goals and scored twice, however he did nothing for the rest of the game.

He plays and he will never defend, and in the premiership you cannot have a player like that. Also, the other players always feel like they must pass the ball to him so if there was a better chance, the chance would be gone. The opposition are clever and put two men on him so that they can easily get the ball, because we all know he can lose the ball easily.

I think players like Hendrie would be much more tactical as he always plays with enthusium and doesn't give up, where as when Ginola loses the ball he doesn't try to get it back, he hardly ever tackles and he won't run for the ball. This does not give the right idea for someone who is supposed to be "World Class".

Gregory is in his right mind when Ginola is on the bench because he can come on to do amazing things, but he still doesn't defend.

All you Villa fans that give him a standing ovation think back to how many times he lose the ball or how many chances we've lost because he's given up.

Plus, being called fat, that isn't harassment. Now he is trying to blackmail the club by saying he will stop the case if he gets money and plays. Am I the only person that thinks this is Blackmail??
Villas Away Kit. Why?

Did the designer of this seasons away Villa kit have their eyes closed when designing it? I mean, I know what matters is the score, but come on, its silver! Villas home kits have always looked good especially because they are claret and blue, however, the away shirt is the worst football shirt known to all footballers, maybe the away kit could have looked good if it was grey. What makes the shirt even worse is that there is a line of lime green, I may not be a fashion guru (not yet anyway) but silver does not look good on anyone and lime green should not be considered as a colour. Well I definitely would not pay 40 for this shirt. I think that the people/person who designed this ridiculous shirt should be very guilty that Villa fans this season will have to watch their favourite team wearing sunglasses to protect them from the glint given off by the shirts.
Come on you Villa boys
