| For their second studio album, the 'Nanas took a more serious and political turn showing their more mature side. After the release of DEEP SEA SKIVING, the press had labeled them as a 'fun' and 'poppy' girl group, but the 'Nanas soon proved them wrong with their fantastic ability to write much darker lyrics about taboo themes. The album hit #16 in the UK Chart, and was home to some hit and miss singles. Whilst the likes of 'Rough Justice' and 'Hotline to Heaven' charted badly, singles like 'Cruel Summer' and 'Robert De Niro's Waiting' became some of their top charting singles and opened doors for them in America. |
