World War 2 games (2) We might as well continue where I left off, so Wolfenstein it is (for you bright ones this is not last times Wolfenstein it is a new one) Return to castle Wolfenstein Wolfenstein is remake off the old Wolfenstein 3d, now the game has better graphics than it�s predecessor Clear on that part, and the story is very well worked out. How ever when I was playing the game it did not give me the Wolfenstein feeling I wanted, First off all I did not feel as if I was in the second world war (dispited the fact that there are tons off German in the game). While I was looking for a way out off my cell dormitory, I discovered a really disturbing fact about this game. A head shot is not a kill not even on a regular soldier now that was new or old Matter off how do you look at it. It gave a really dark impression on me it was like playing a horror game. When looking for a fun shooter not something you would want, never the less it was a really fun game to play with a lot off nice surprises in the game. Like in Wolfenstein 3d many secrets A great variety off weapon and a good multiplayer. Over all a nice game, not what it wanted to be but good none the less I give it a 6.7 because it just misses something that a world war 2 shooter should have (don�t really know what that is jet). Call of Duty All right now we are talking. Call of Duty is a good WW2 shooter. But why? I�ll tell you why: First off all just about everyone knows now that the Amerikans freed us (you know the Dutch) in the second world war, what most of us don�t know is what the Britsh and even more important what the sovjet Union did in the second world war. Your story begins at Boot camp (yes training). This is a short level to learn you the basics of the game. You learn thing like looking, walking, running, crouching, crawling, climbing, jumping, schooting, troweing granades and bloweing stuff up (now I get your attention). After Boot camp you have you little briefing and you go to Normandy, No not another Beach landing your a paratrooper of the 101 airborne (the 101 of band of brothers) so you kill Jerrys call a plain to land your buddies (well not exactly yours the wrong troops are dropped). No mather take Saint Maire Eglise. Win the USA campain and your ok (or not) When you�ve won the first part off the US campain you go British (oh dear lord) No need to worry do the British have some good weapons (Very good) A brengun for example Heavy and accured just hope you don�t have to run long disances. Complete Uk campain. You eventuly go Russion You start at Stalingrad in a boat, you come out of the boat (and if you are unlucky you don�t. Next ting you do is get in line to get your gun (Think again ruskie) you my friend get bullets handy little buggers but not mutch good without a gun. You live (well at least I hope for you). You eventualy get to drive a Russion tank and even take the german capital and the reighs tag itsself (for WW 2 knowers, you do not fight the Hitler jugend shooting childeren is bad oke?) Call of duty is an impecive WW2 shooter it has many good weapons and shell shock, what you ask? When a grenade explodes near to you but to far to hurt you you character will go in to shell shock, only in the Single player buy the way, this means that everything is sundely slowed down and all the sound disapears (very cool). So my favorite WW2 shooter what grade? 8,8 Because of the grapics and very fun way to play it. Medal of Honour, Braekthrough Perhaps one of a kind in WW 2 shooters. Break plays in the Afrika offencive off the Allies. You get plunged right into battle in your first level and hope you live. Very mutch fun to play. In this game you will drive a tank more than once. From Afrika you got to Italy (they are bad guys to). So if you hate Germans and Itallians This is your game shooting Italians and Germans alike. The game takes you a lot off location within this war periode. You game will end within Monte cassino A great Battle was fought here long ago. Breaktrough: not mutch to say mostley the same as AA and spear. However it is way better than Spear in a lot off ways. Story levels and variaty not exelent but a nice 7,2 will be more then enough Call of Duty United offenive First let me say what the (�.) I was really expecting something from this game never get your hopes up off course but any way. I has a great story line again. You play Rusky, Abrit and a Jankey. Level 1 no boot camp this time still 101 air born in Belgium in the Ardennes and guess what you patrol discovers of course you find the start of the battle for the Burge. I must say this battle is made very chaotic and that is more of a complement than an insult. There are so many tanks and Germans you just lose your way very well done. When competed You go British again this time as a gunner aboard a Bomber flying over Holland and of course you get attacked and of course you crash and of course you land in Holland with the SAS and the Dutch resistance. After this you join the commandos fight some very nice battles. Rusky well ever heard of Kiev? You will after this all new battles Very chaotic once again (gotta love it). All new weapons like flamethrowers (hot potatoes) and smoke grenades. All very much fun with just 1 problem. It is to short you played it out before you know it especially veteran Call of Duty players a shame. Despite of the little big flaw a nice expansion pack and worthy of a nice 7,5 Well that�s all I have 4 now I think I�ll go Lord of the rings, The battle for middle-earth on you guys and gals next time for now see ya! |
