| This Page is dedicated to a Soldier, My only Son, the only member in the Escobar Family Generation that is in the Arm Forces. This is Christopher De Luis Escobar Born on December 3rd 1985 and since of the age of 13 he had his mind set that he wanted to be an Ifantry Soldier for the US Army. On the day of September 11, 2001 it changed all of our lives and my son was more determined to be in the Military at the age of 16 to fight for the freedom of his country. At soon as he turned 17 years old he joined the Army. On a Special request and all he needed was a letter from the Military and both of his parents signatures and he was ready to go once he past certain tests. Christopher started his basic training May 2003 at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia. Of all of the young men Christopher at basic training was the youngest to become a Soldier at only 17 years old. His father and mother gave him all the support in spite of him being the only Son and the only child. Most of all the family members on his mother was against him joining and going, but a few did support him. But he was determined no matter what and nothing was going to stop him. All of Christopher's Father, The Escobar Family lives in Texas, everyone was so proud and happy for him and gave him all the support especially his Grandfather to have an Escobar in the Arm Forces.. It was not easy for him leaving or his parents letting him go to basic training on May 2003; On August 9 2003 his father was invited to join him and the same with other families to visit their Soldiers for 3 days called Family Day weekend. Father and Son spent 3 great days together. He past basic training and he was ready forTurning Blue on September 11 and Graduation Day on the following day September 12, 2003. His father and mother, a Aunt and cousins were there for his graduation. Turning blue is a blue cord that pin around their shoulder and arm and the Ifantry Soldier is the only one allowed to wear it. He came back to Sacramento California for 2 weeks all made a man and a true Infantry Soldier for the US Army. He is now stationed at Fort Lewis in the State of Washington. Word has already been given to him and to his platoon, that they are being sent to Iraq this year near the month of June of 2004. He still goes to extreme training and being prepared to be sent to Iraq. This page is dedicate in Love to My Only Son to My Soldier and to our Soldiers in the Arm Forces who are giving their lives for the my freedom, My Peace, Your Peace, Your Freedom, and for everyones freedom in this Country and for the whole worlds freedom. GOD BLESS YOU SON.... I'm So Proud Of You. IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO DO WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED AND MORE. |
