The first team were away to last seasons Division 2 champions Bodie Lodge, and despite going 1-0 down, were 4-1 winners inspired by last seasons strike force James Sweeny and Jamie Forrest.
Meanwhile the Reserves got there first ever league points with a triumphant 8-3 defeat of Riverside RST in front of a packed Curtlee Hill crowd. Quintin Allen scored 5 of the goals with Paul Watts(2) and Tony Basham adding to the tally.
Both First team manager Simon Newman and Reserves boss Jim Harris were over the moon with the results.
