LSU Bounces Back

Just one week after falling to Arkansas, Les Miles announces
his intentions to stay at LSU, the Tigers beat Tennesee 21-14
en route to an SEC Title, and the BCS moves LSU from 7th to 2nd
, sending the Bayou Bengals to New Orleans to play for a National Title.
Whew! What a day...

If I could use any saying to describe this edition of College Football Weekly, it would be this: better late than never! Yeah, I know I'm about a week-and-a-half late, but I've been bogged down, and I didn't have an impending deadline to keep me motivated to finish this issue. But enough about me excuses: the important thing is that the issue is finished, and waiting to be read. I've got to admit, my top 15 is pretty controversial, especially at how far down the list Ohio State is. Also, for the second consecutive week, I've struggled finding a #15 team, so I picked a team that has the same colors that I picked last week, who will also probably end up on the BANNED LIst after the season is over. Of course, I'd also like to congratulate Tim Tebow for winning the Heisman Trophy (even though I was cheering for McFadden). I also return from the ranks of the piddley teams to pick some Bowl upsets, although I did go 2-1 with the piddley upsets, a far better winning percentage than the normal picks. I've also got a Bowl Edition of What to Watch, and a BCS-related rant, but a bit deviated from the norm. This edition of CFW also includes the rinal part of Questioning the BCS in which I present a pretty solid playoff for 2007 and also crown a champion, which is neither LSU nor Ohio State, the only two teams who get a chance to win the national championship; go figure. Finally, I've also included a fan-favorite in Predictions Revisited in which I take a look back at how bad my preseason predictions were. They should be good for laughs at the very least! Well, this is now the final issue of CFW for 2007, and as such, I have a great Christmas present idea for you: print off all of the 2007 issues of CFW, and get them lamenated and bound for someone you know and love. After all, why go nuts looking for a Wii (which you probably won't find) when you have the perfect gift in CFW?
