January 31, 2003 - (Friday)
Wow, a lot of time has passed since I last posted, but really not much has happened.  We went to FL, F-R-O-Z-E, and then returned with a terrible cold, which I still have (and so does everyone else).  Ugh, I hate being sick, I'm such a terrible patient.  Anyhoo, we had a great time in FL, except for the frigid temperatures that was there.  Unfortunately for us, we left all our warm winter coats in NJ and thought, hey we are going to FL, we don't need this heavy winter coat -- WRONG!!!  It was bitter cold and we were all bundled up with our Disney jackets/gloves, etc. that we bought in an attempt to stay as warm as possible.  So, lots of money spent on clothing to keep us warm.  Oh the bills are rolling in as we speak.  Oh well, live and learn.

I travelled for work this week to VA and I'm just back.  Having such a terrible head cold and having to meet all my new co-workers, learn what they are doing and how I'm supposed to support them, when all I wanted to do was put my head on the desk, was a task, but I'm glad I'm safely home now and on the mend.

My eating went to pot this week, I didn't feel like eating that much but I have a terrible desire for M&M peanut candy!  Ugh, a craving.  It's really the only thing I've craved since the surgery.  Anyone else get candy cravings for odd things that didn't phase you before?  I also have cravings for this huge chef salad that I get at this local Italian restaurant.  I just love it.  It's $8.00 and it's HUGE!  It lasts me 3 days and is such a bargain.  When I was away in FL, I actually missed the salad and was planning, on the plane, to drive right there and get one as soon as I got home (which I did).  Before surgery, I'd never have eaten a salad or dreamed of having one....I was way too busy stuffing myself with all the meats and pasta.  So, all this is a good thing.  Well the M&M's aren't a good thing, the salad is *grin*.  I've amazingly lost 3 pounds since my 1 year anniversary, so it's so slow, but I have to admit, my exercise has now become non-existant and and I really need to start that.  Anyone in NJ want an exercise buddy???? Email me if ya do!!!

Nothing else is doin'.  Work is Ok, still afraid to turn around for fear someone is gonna tap me on the shoulder and tell me I'm not needed any longer, but I'm dealing with it.  I am going to rest this weekend and try to feel better before the week begins on Monday.

We are driving to the shore tomorrow to pick out flooring and I'll post a new snap of progress, if there's something to see.  It's getting really great to see it become a house.  Doors and windows are in and next are the walls.  See below to see what the door and windows look like.  Oh well, it's what's getting us thru the winter, knowing the spring is right around the corner.  Hoping you are all keeping warm and happy....Hey, stop by my guestbook to drop a line or email me with any questions, I love that!!!   Oh well,
till next time....

February 7, 2003 - (Friday)
Gosh, I'm boring, boring, boring.  Nothing happening here, work is work, life is life, winter is winter.  It's snowing, big-time AGAIN today, and I'm hating it!!!  I hate this fluffy white stuff that I used to love as a child.  When I went to get coffee this AM, went down the driveway sideways, so that proves that a 4WD doesn't necessarily mean no problems in the snow.  Very slick under the soft fluffy stuff.  Eating terribly, snacking way too much and not exercising at all.  I am certainly not the poster-child of great eating with WLS.  Ugh, I'm a mess.  Nothing else to report, still down a few more pounds, I don't know how that's possible, but I am.  I'm happy, so I guess there are worse things in life.  Going to the shore this weekend...hopefully more pics to
follow.  Stay warm everyone...
till next time...
