Coles Corner is located on the Colorado River, just south of the Yuma Proving Grounds, home of the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute team, and the Senator Wash long term camping area. The area is known for great fishing for very large catfish in both the Colorado River and the All American Canal. The area is rich with history, as gold was first discovered in Coles Corner first opened in the early 1950's and was purchased by Clayton and lilly Fairchild in 1982. Back in the old days they had had a gas station and lowball poker. Today Coles Corner has many events to bring pleasure to the locals as well as the winter visitors, Saturday Coles Corner - Where the River Rats gather to exchange Fishing Stories and other Lies. Coles corner is a family affair, Clay opens in the morning with fresh coffee brewing, Debbie is your hostess during the day, The store is open year round, and stocks cold beer, ice, pure water, staples, and of course fishing Worms and all the tackle and advice you need.Stop in and say hello and have a cold one.
