This will basically be a place where I list the anime that I've seen and give my impressions on them. There are only two full series that I've seen, but I'll soon add Arc the Lad and Oh! My Goddess, maybe Trigun. Anyone else is welcome to submit, as well. I'll also see about maybe finding some specific fan pages and other info that I'll link to from here.

  • Cowboy Bebop: The best Anime series I've ever seen! It was also the first one I saw, and the first that I bought. I love it. Spike kicks so much ass and Vicious is one of the best villains ever. He's so evil, and he uses a sword. I mean, the sword alone makes him so much better than others! It's well drawn, has awesome music (if you like jazzy-styles) and is pretty funny. Another cool thing, is that almost every episode is completely independent of any other one. The ending was really well done, and I can't wait for the movie! See it! See both! Something I just thought to add here, the 3rd to last episode was kinda sad, but the last 2 (which is the grand finale) are completely, and utterly sick!
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion: Another excellent Anime, I must say. The ending was kind of disappointing to most, but I liked it. I don't want to give anything away of the series, so I'll leave it at that. If you want to see the angry ending, be sure to check out End of Evangelion when it comes out this fall. It's supposed to be the bloodiest thing ever. I'm tempted to pre-order one. There's some religious allusions in it, but that's still cool. Some of the characters kinda go insane, so that's interesting to see. And the penguin is completely random! You'll see what I mean.
  • Princess Mononoke: Excellent all around. I know, I keep saying that about any Anime here, but it's true! Why would I watch a crappy one? Of course, I talk to friends about some series before seeing it, so I get a basic feel of how crappy a series might end up being. This is the story of a hero self-exiled from his village while he goes on a quest. I won't say much more, but it involves forest gods a girl raised by wolves, and a kind of feudal Japan. Like most animes, the ending isn't quite what I was expecting, but you have to remember it's Japanese. They aren't a happy people, I guess. (I know that's a bit racist, but I don't mean it seriously, so don't take offense. Please.)
  • Metropolis: Computer animation meets Japanese Anime drawings. Much sickness is revealed in this movie, a story about a ziggurat built in the center of the highly technological city of Metropolis (Hm... Tower of Babel?), which ends up having a detective and his nephew, both from Tokyo, investigating a highly advanced robot, as well as secret alliances. I don't want to say much more than this, because I think I may have given away a few things, but hopefully nothing more than what's on the back of the box. Has an interesting moral-esque feel about it directed towards the advances of science, but... eh (shrugs).
  • Vampire Hunter D: This is a pretty good anime about a half-vampire/half-mortal man who's, well, a vampire hunter. The story is a little obvious, but the anime is well drawn. The English voice of D is kind of annoying, to a point, as is his hand. It may just be the recording itself, but I still feel it could've been better. Don't get me wrong, though, I still like it. I'm tempted to pick up Bloodlust but I heard it's not as good as the first. Again, be prepared for some odd sounds on the DVD if you check it out.
