1)  These time standards are based on B times for 13-14 year old girls and boys.  Achieving these times only indicates a baseline of fitness for swim team.  It is no guarantee that you will make the team, and if you do make the team that you will letter.  Check out the times of the varsity lettermen at this year's District 17-5A Championship.  CLICK HERE.
2) Selection for the swim team will be based on ability, versatility, willingness to work, citizenship, and eligibility.
3) Each school may enter 4 swimmers and divers in an event and one relay team per event.  Bellaire's entries will be based on times acheived during the 2000-2001 swim season. The faster your times and the more strokes in which you are competitive increase your chances of swimming in the district meet.  You cannot letter without swimming at the district meet.
4) The top three finishers at district will be awardes a letter jacket.  The top six finishers will be awarded a letter.
5) An individual may swim up to 4 events, only two of which may be an individual event.  Your job is to make yourself as competitive as possible by increasing your opportunities to letter.
