| From Maria's Diary: Blackheart... I don't think I've ever heard a worse misnomer. Desmand is one of the most noble, straight forward and compassionate guys I know. From out of almost nowhere he showed up. No one has ever known anything about him, but his presence alone inspires a deal of confidence in his teammates, and the telekinesis and telepathy doesn't hurt. He also has a way about him that shows we aren't his first foray into power using. He knows far more than he expresses in words and it just shows. |

| Few people, if any, can take up the mantle he has. To tell the truth, I'm kind of jealous. I've been here since I've known what a mutant was, since before I could even iron my own clothes, and this man comes out of nowhere and he's in charge of the team inside a semester. It speaks to his abilities, but sometimes, it makes me just a little bit pissed. He also didn't waste any time picking up a girlfriend, but that's another story. Black heart keeps it real, and some guys just don't do that's no easy task for a leader of a superhero team. He gets respect from me any and every day of the week. The others carry this same sentiment and when times get rough, I'm pretty sure all the weight is going to fall on his shoulders, no matter what I may try to do. God help him. ----End entry------- |
