The Story
C.O.F. (Chains of Freedom) is a punk band from Thousand Oaks California (the asshole of the universe) that really started with Ryan and Juan playing together in fake bands since junior high school, before they owned real instruments and long before they could actually play anything. They played some shows with their band Two Dogs and a Bitch (they were pretty terrible) and made a bad reputation for themselves.
This is when I (Aaron) met up with them. We started to play together and started writing new songs. We came up with the name Chains of Freedom at Ryan�s house one day and have been a band ever since. At the time we had some annoying metal head kid playing drums for us until he got sent to bordering school. But as soon as he was gone Jimmy, who had been the �rodie� for the band since the beginning, bought a drum set and took over. We hope one day he will pick it up�
In 2001 we recorded a six-song demo that no one paid much attention to. After that we started working on our first album (Chains Of Freedom) that we recorded and put out ourselves.
