Dave joined The Mariners on loan for a month in the 1992/1993 season from Premiership side Chelsea. Dave is a veteran keeper and has been playing since 1979. Still he is no where near retiring he says, but we all konw Dave will soon start sliding down the leagues. Dave joined Portsmouth on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest at the start of the 2001/2002 season. Dave is currently on loan at Premiership side Tottenham.

Veteran midfielder joined Town on loan for 2 months from Reading. Paul netted just one goal but he rarely played at the time he spent at Blundell Park. Paul now plays for Confrence side Hayes after a spell in Scotland with Aidrie and Hibernian.
Robby Busscher

Robby joined Grimsby on a trial contract from Dutch Premiership side Feyenoord. Robby impressed and signed a 1 year contract at Blundell Park for the 2001/2002 season along with Feyenoord teamate Ronald Ermes. Robby made 1 apperance as a sub for Grimsby before him and Ermes were released on a free transfer after being told by Paul Groves that they would not feature in his plans. Robby is currnetly spending time on a trial contract with Sheffield Wednesday.
Richard Smith

Richard joined Grimsby on loan from Leicester in the 1995/1996 season before signing for good after his loan period ended. Richards Town career was plagued with injury and in the end forcing him to retire at the start of the 2001/2002 season. Richard will be missed as he was a very intresting and reliable defender.
Jason Pearcey

Jason Pearcey joined Town from Mansfield in the 1995/1996 season and played a huge part in Towns 1996/1997 season after being forced into the squad when Town failed to sign a keeper for the season. Alan Miller played 3 games before his loan ended and also overweight keeper Andy Love also played a small number of games. Jason was sold at the start of the 1998/1999 season to Brentford where he made just under 30 apperances before having to retire from the game midway through the 2000/2001 season after an awful injury forced him out.
